NOTE ON PURCHASING SONGS

Here is a small selection of the songs of Fascinating Aïda and some from Dillie’s solo. More songs will be added gradually.

Unless otherwise stipulated, the music provided is full harmonies where appropriate (obviously not for the solo songs) with full piano accompaniment.

If the key is not suitable when the music arrives, please let us know and we will let you have it in a different key for no extra charge. This is likely if you want to sing any of my solos. My voice is unusually deep and ruined, and I don’t advise anyone to sing like me.

We can also let you have the Sibelius file (music writing software) if you are working with this or if your accompanist works with Sibelius.

Most of the songs are through composed for ease of reading, one or two do have repeat signs for the various verses.

Permission of the composers is not required; however, if you wish to sing the song in a professional venue, you must fill in the appropriate PRS form (Performing Rights Society) which you will receive from the theatre manager. All the songs are currently published by Cherry Red Songs, and the appropriate writing credits are printed on each individual song. When you are given the PRS form to fill in, you must enter the name of the composer and the name of the publisher, as well as the correct name of the song.

Please not that not all the songs are called by the names you may assume. For instance, the correct title of the song people usually call “The German Song” is actually called “Lieder.”

If you wish to record any of the songs, you will be sent the appropriate forms by the MCPS (Mechanical Copyright Protection Society) and you can proceed from there. All the information you will need is on the first page of the songs.
